About the Community Committee
The Community Committee covers matters relating to student well being and behaviour and the wider role of the school in the West Bletchley community including:
- Monitoring students – including student attendance, behaviour and pastoral care, racial incidents and anti-bullying monitoring, school uniform, student medical provision, exclusions – fixed term and permanent, discipline, safeguarding and child protection, Special Educational Needs – register and issues, inclusion, admissions, Year 7 transition and Bletchley Partnership, school trips and visits
- Monitoring areas of the School Improvement Plan/School Self – Evaluation document that fall within the Committee’s remit
- Reviewing internal and external provision and relationships – including links with parents, the wider community and other stakeholders, links with business, youth groups, the police, faith groups and charities, Connexions provision and links with primary schools
- Reviewing and monitoring relevant policies, procedural information and training – for example relating to child protection, safeguarding, safer recruitment and retention of staff and training to sit on disciplinary panels.
