Governors

Introduction from the Chair

I am Madeleine Carrington, Chair of Governors. I am very proud to be associated with Lord Grey School and I am pleased that the school has an active, committed and sensible Governing Body. Everyone on the Governing Body is dedicated to helping the school to improve in terms of examination results, good behaviour and caring ethos. We offer impartial advice and guidance to the Headteacher and school staff; school governors come from many different walks of life and are therefore able to offer wider experience, beyond education, in order to guide the school. We offer a system of checks and balances – we support the school and offer challenge on what the school can do better to improve. We are all dedicated to making Lord Grey an outstanding local school.

I have a long association with the school and the Bletchley area; my own children went through Lord Grey and I know from personal experience that all of the teachers are dedicated to maximising the life chances of every young person in the school. If you would like to be a school governor yourself, and you have the time to take on such as role, please do not hesitate to contact me via the school Reception.
